After 7 years of being a sewinest (my wing women invented the word so it’s only right that I finish on it 🙄😂)
That, is what they call a wrap 🙌🏻
If I wrote this properly I’d have to write thank-you a million times over, probs cry & change my mind once or twice. I don’t want to do that so here’s my short (not very tbf 💁♀️) farewell to dressmaking post 👇🏻
The Summer of 2022 was a tad difficult 🙄🫠 I returned to work but my spark (if that’s even the right word 🥴) didn’t come with me. A year on, I still haven’t found it. I’m getting older & life really is too short to be giving most of your time to a job that you no longer enjoy - it’s time for pastures new 💁♀️
I’ll never, ever be able to describe the ups & downs of my time as a sewinest 🙄😂. The downs will always be insignificant because knowing that something I’ve sewn from scratch has changed the way someone feels about themselves is something that words will never explain ❤️ I’ve always struggled with confidence so my having played even a teeny part in improving other peoples’ is something I’ll be eternally proud of 🫶🏻
Thank you to the clients who’ve kept this to themselves. You’ve given me a chance to finish on a high; what a high I’ve finished on 🙌🏻 I’ve one more post to go & that will be all. ((There’ll be some seriously cheap dresses & other bits added to the stories over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled 👀😂))
Honestly, from the very depths of my cold black heart, thank you all so, so much. I’ll always be forever grateful & I love you all.
For the final time…
Peace out ✌️😘
