Finally got to see the Schiaparelli exhibition at the V&A whose fashion team continue to showcase these icons in the most breath-taking way. When I started 25 years ago you couldn’t give these vintage pieces away. Hideously overlooked as perhaps THE biggest influence on fashion for the last 100 years. Exposed zippers and anatomical sculpture in the 1930s. Bar jackets before Dior. No wonder Daniel Roseberry is killing it currently with the incredibly archive he has to draw on. The exhibit is on til January so plenty of time to see this one.
