Arlene Ferguson the in house designer can also work with you to design and create a bespoke gown of your choice, for bridal and formal or any other special occasion. Arlene Ferguson studied at Belfast Metropolitan College and gained a degree in fashion management. With the dream of becoming a costume designer, she worked for five years freelancing, in television and film. She spent this time worki

ng in the wardrobe departments of local television series, short and feature films and also theatre. After graduating from college Arlene decided this was not the career for her and moved into high-end garment alterations and re vamping and designing older garments into new! With over 20 years experience in garment alterations, specializing in bridal and formal alterations. “And that’s a wrap!” Hand sewing is always a lovely chilled way to end the course! Thank you so much to all my students, I’m so impressed with you all especially the two that never used a sewing machine before! The foundations waiting list is now open for November 2026 and January 2027. I’ll be running the Sew Informed Alterations course again in Nov or Jan so please get in touch to get on waiting list, only if you’ve previously completed a Sew Informed Foundations course with me.
