✨ Hello lovely new followers! ✨

I thought I’d pop on and introduce myself so you can put a face to the name 😁

I’m Kerry – your local Sewing Machine Mechanic 👩‍🔧

For years I tinkered with my own machines, but when I hit a repair I couldn’t fix (and couldn’t find anyone local to help), I realised just how rare sewing machine mechanics are. So… I headed off to England, completed a full course, and 💥 here I am – officially qualified and now running my own little business servicing sewing machines.

This is part-time for now (fingers crossed for more 🤞), so if your machine needs some TLC just drop me a 💬 or give me a 📞 on 07824809500 and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

I should be taking before-and-after pics (the social media gurus keep reminding me 😂), but I usually forget… so here are a few machines I’ve worked on recently instead! 🧵✨

Starting Tuesday 28th January, then weekly every Tuesday at 10.30am, The Dressmaker's Apprentice invites you to drop in for a cup of tea, a chat, and a chance to work on your latest project.

🔧👩‍🔧 This week I was in the amazing sewing studio at Threadquarters servicing all of the machines ahead of their new classes starting soon.

👩‍🏫 🌈 Be sure to check them out both for sewing classes and the beautiful range of fabrics and patterns…. I had to restrain myself to not add to my fabric stash! (Though I couldn’t help picking up a couple of new patterns that I’m looking forward to getting stuck into this weekend 👗👚)
