Sewing Machining for Beginners

Wed 30th September and Wed 7th October
5pm - 7pm

I have been running these classes for a while now, and they always go down really well.

It is a two part workshop designed for absolute beginners...

In the first session you will learn how to thread a sewing machine, and how to sew a few simple seams... If we've time you will also make a small cushion

In the second session you will make yourself a tote bag with it's own case, out of fabrics you have chosen from the shop.

You will be given written info to take away with you, and hopefully you will go away confident to start sewing on your own.

As one of our upcoming Christmas sessions at The Craft Space, were making these beautiful ceramic style decorations.

The details are as follows:

Make Ceramic Style Christmas Decorations
Monday 9th November
3pm - 5:30pm

We will be casting these decorations in a variety of silicone moulds, using hard wearing, fast drying plaster. Then we will be decorating a card display box to keep them in, before we de-mould them and finish them with twine or ribbon.

We are making this cute clay gingerbread house at The Craft Space as one of our upcoming Christmas sessions. You can make either a tall thin house, or a short fat one. Then take this home along with the lights to go inside it.

The details are as follows:

Make a Gingerbread House out of Clay
Mon 26th October & Monday 2nd November
3pm - 5:30pm

The first session we will create the house from air drying clay, and the second session we will decorate it with decorative "icing" and "sweeties".

I'm going on holiday in just over two weeks.

I have enough work to get done before then, so I'm closing my books again now till after I get back.

So I'm sorry but I'm not taking on any new sewing work until 28th September.
