The beautiful Ellie ✨
Ellie came to me after finding her dress at Wynter Isabelle Bridal, with a vision she’d already started planning with the team there. She chose to purchase sleeves from the Richard Designs range, with the idea of incorporating the lace from the original Bardot sleeves so everything would match perfectly.
With a little trust in me, I got to work ✂️ I carefully unpicked the lace from the Bardot sleeves and deconstructed the chiffon sleeves to allow the best placement of the lace. To ensure the new sleeves sat beautifully, I added delicate straps along with elastic gel tape so they rested perfectly on the shoulders.
The fit came together beautifully, and with a train hook and hem added, the dress was complete. Seeing Ellie smile at her fitting once the sleeves were attached said it all

Hi, I’m Sam, the seamstress behind Raven and Rose Custom Alterations Studio.
With a lifelong passion for art, design, and fashion, I pursued a degree in Fashion Design, where I developed a strong foundation in garment construction and pattern making. This training naturally led me into many years of experience in the world of alterations and bridal wear.
I understand that most garments need a little refining to achieve the perfect fit—something I experience firsthand, as I’m often altering my own clothes, sometimes even just minutes before heading out the door.
Whether you’re looking for a subtle adjustment to your favourite pair of jeans or expert craftsmanship to bring your vision to life—be it an everyday piece or a wedding dress and to make those damn long ikea curtains shorter I’m here to help !

As many of you know, I’ve spent the last four years with Wynter Isabelle Bridal, and I’ve loved every minute of helping brides bring their visions to life. It has been a joy to create something truly special for each of them.
