Happy Monday!

I know I’ve said it before, but I just love these large serving spoons - not just because there’s loads of space for stamping, but there’s loads of space for decent sized serving of your favourite dish!

This one was ordered as a pressie and gifted this weekend. Get in touch if you’d like one too - either for you or for someone else (or both?).

This gorgeous vintage cake knife was ordered at my last fair (in Portsmouth) to be collected at my next fair (in Guildford) by Chloe who owns irresponsible_indulgence - if you don’t know, it’s the most wonderful cake/brownie/cookie stall there is 😋

Her Malteser rocky road slab kept me going at Portsmouth from start to finish, and boy I needed it after such an early start 🥱

Will we both see you at the thecraftandflea Christmas Market, Guildford Cathedral on November 7th?? Only 3 weeks to go …

I’ve added another string to my bow … I can now stamp in Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Translation: the knife says “just take it cheesy” and the triangular knife says “feeling grate”

I lost count of how many times I checked and rechecked before stamping 😂

It’s a fantastic Victorian toasting fork with a spider catching a fly as the handle - fab for Halloween* toast OR teacakes OR smores (yummy) etc.

Looks good, but deadly for wildlife - try to make the right choice x

Please avoid using this synthetic webbing to decorate your house for Halloween.

Native birds are nesting at the moment, and many species, such as the beautiful White Plumed Honeyeater pictured, will use (real) spiderwebs as a downy padding for their nests. Unsurprisingly, the parent birds can not tell the difference between real and plastic spiderwebs, and when used for nesting, this material can result in fledgling birds becoming snared in their own nests. You can see the poor little bird in the attached image has a foot that is entirely bound up, and needed to be "cut out" of its nest.

The material can also trap bats, larger birds, and insects, generally resulting in a slow, painful death.

Let's do better for all the wonderful wildlife we have! 🌿🐦🦉
