Good evening all Spotty Herberts pals!
I am back at it, happy filling Christmas stockings which, lets face it, are the best part of Christmas. These two stockings are destined for Christmas Stocking Campaign here in Norfolk. The wonderful people who run this charity distribute thousands of stockings each year to families in Norfolk who may not otherwise receive any Christmas gifts. All the details are on the page liked above. They are still taking donations, you may take a stocking and fill or donate some gifts and the elves will add them to a stocking. We are filling a stocking for a 5-10 year old and a teenage girl. I think I could happily be an elf full time. Stockings are the best!

Our little red chair has had a lot of use and many admirers over these past few years. Weary legs have been rested, stubborn bottoms have refused to budge, diddy legs have not quite dangled to reach the floor. Tiny pups have bounced around on it and a rather slinky whippet has curled up tight and slept. It was found in our favourite spot on the North Norfolk coast and my Mum bartered hard for it. We love our little chair.

Taken on one of our first days of being almost open... The youngest on the doorstep with a ‘shop’ selling marbles and mini tv’s, the little ones you peep through, press a button on the top and wheel of pictures turn.
He’s grown a bit since then.

I have decided to ‘shut up shop’, to hang up my shopkeepers ‘hat’, take a breather and to think on ‘what next?’.

This January and February have been particularly poor examples of January and February don’t you think?! Bludey miserable comes to mind. Please excuse the swearing. 🤭
This morning I came in to the shop to find a parcel on the counter 🤩 Now parcels are always exiting, even if it’s just new paper rolls for the till. Or something.
But this one turned out to be the very best kind of parcel. A big, fat, super-kind gift of a surprise parcel. ❤️ I’d shared a slight moan and a grizzle about the miserable months to our most special supplier, the creator of all that sparkles, Kristal
She has only gone and sent me the most perfect handmade bookmark, RAINBOW 🌈 bookmark, along with ‘The Book of Human Emotions’ by Tiffany Watt Smith. How utterly brilliant is she! Thank you Kristal ### 💖 This morning I caught a bit of a the breakfast show and jotted down the three questions asks his family each day at the dinner table;
1. What kind thing has someone done for you today to make you happy? 2. What kind thing have you done today to make someone else happy?
3. What have you learnt today?
