Studio will close on Sat 06th June as we'll be participating in the Bathgate Procession.

We will be open late on the Friday to facilitate pick ups previously scheduled for the Saturday.

Just a note.. that the The Kilt Studio will open later tomorrow at 11am rather than 10am..

As Ive been invited to give a talk at Bathgates Probus club.

So please feel welcome to arrive anytime after 11 if visiting.

So proud to be able to host a tournament in my town...
But also to name it in memory of Peter McLagan.

Good evening..

The Bathgate Institute and Snooker Hall is delighted to announce the draw for the first ever The Kilt Studio sponsored 'Peter McLagan memorial trophy".

The following picture details the draw for the first round of fixtures to be played by 01st July 2026.

Please note: players are expected to arrange matches between themselves in accordance with the timescale. Table costs to be split. Decision of the Institute committee will be final in cases of dispute. Numbers to arrange matches available in the club.

With 16 players... the prize pot would stand at £160.
The Kilt studio will add another £100 (on top of the trophies 🏆) to be split as decided by committee.

Please remember.. this is a handicapped trophy.. whilst numbers settled for this year.. all players, all genders, all levels welcome.

Final notice. NO acts of aggression, unsporting behaviour or intimidation will be tolerated.
Committee reserve the right to to remove a player (with loss of entry fee) if deemed to breach these rules.

A lovely meal was had tonight at , West Calder 🍝
I went there tonight for a meal with my fiancée to celebrate it being a year since I proposed to her! 🧀
This Italian restaurant was a perfect find! Staff are very friendly and attentive.
This restaurant has been around for years but it's recently had a massive transformation under it's new owners.
If you love Italian food then check them out! - Mark

There will also be a raffle on the night.. to which The Kilt Studio will donate 1 x full free formal hire.

Exciting news..

Proudly, in collaboration with The Kilt Studio , a new annual Bathgate Institute and Snooker Hall tournament has been organised

The Peter McLagan memorial trophy.

You may all be familiar with the McLagan well sitting in the heart of our town at the Steelyard.
Mr McLagan himself loaned the funds to build the Institute in 1875.. and having just passed 150 years in our town, it feels fitting to name the trophy after him.
Scotlands first non-white and only black MP to date.

Entry is £10 and your place can be secured by payment at the club.
All levels welcome as the tournament will be handicapped to allow for equal participation regardless of ability.

There's a brand new stunning trophy (plus a winners one to keep) and a prize pot (minimum numbers dependant) of over £200.. due to a additional donation from The Kilt Studio.

Hello all.. Happy National Tartan day.
Here's a wee repost of Mr Kilt Studio meeting our local MP Kirsteen Sullivan for Bathgate and Linlithgow receving our parlimentary recognition for our winning the Best Groomswear provider, and our craftmanship, customer service, and our commitment to preserving Scotlands cultural heritage and national dress.

The Kilt Studio will be closing early today at 1:30pm on account of the bank holiday.
