This map went off to a new home back a few weeks ago. A gift for someone special on a special birthday.

Ballyholme, highlighting the house the lady grew up in, the house she lives in now and her church. Living this close to the sea must be beautiful 🌊

The piece was finished in a bottle green mount (which complimented the colours in the map beautifully) and a black timber frame by the very brilliant

I got the most beautiful thank you message with a photo of the recipient holding the piece with the biggest smile. Messages like that make me so happy. It’s such a joy to make a piece like this!

Swipe for some progress/close up pics.
I hope you all have a gorgeous Sunday 😊

“The Limes” built by Mr. Mercer and Mr Brown who owned Mercer and Brown Linen Mill in Lurgan. And affectionately named after the lime trees that lined the street outside.

I was asked to make this as a gift for a special birthday for someone who grew up in one half of the house. Her Mother was brought up in the other half. Her cousins lived there when she was growing up. She was married in the back garden in the 70’s. The houses are no longer in the family but hold such a special place in their hearts.

It was an honour to be asked to make this piece, it’s connection with the linen industry will be something forever embedded in these homes…
can you see the little flax flower details in the stone work? A gorgeous nod and something that features quite heavily in buildings connected to the industry built around the same time.

I got a beautiful thank you email and picture of the very happy recipient. Making these sorts of pieces will never get old. Such an honour ( :

Another bespoke Christmas present I was asked to make last year!

This gift was for one of the Architects who worked on the restoration of the absolutely gorgeous

The brick thread colour is a subtle nod to the colours in the facade.

Being asked to make this made me hunt back through my archive for the multi coloured piece I made back in 2014. I adore being able to achieve a completely different look when using an outline or a multi fill.

Which one do you prefer??

All the days of the first week back just bled into one 🫠…more sickness, the aftermath of preschool jabs and just general life…it was all a bit meh!!

Anyway…here’s the first of the bespoke pieces I made for Christmas. A beach from honeymoon for a lovely couple. I love the little beach house and how it blends into the rocky beach scape.

Something really special to mark a gorgeous moment in your life 😊

I want to thank you ALL as always for your support. Without all of you I wouldn’t have this business.😊 Your support, encouragement, purchases, advice, lots of laughs on DM’s, likes, shares, telling your friends and families really do keep me going!! You really are the best community.

2022 has been a strange one. I adore what I do but this year I definitely fell out of love with it a little bit. It made me sit back and look at what I wanted and helped me reassess everything! I have made some changes making way for a big change going forward. I’m really excited for this new way of working going forward. And am excited for my future and for the future of dt!

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a restful holiday period 🎄
I’m switching off so will catch you all in the New Year. I have lots of gorgeous bespoke pieces I can share after the “big day”

Have a fab one you lot!! 😘 🥂

Swipe to see previous years!! Let’s not talk about how I’ve aged🙈🥴🫠

We’re having my parents for Christmas dinner this year. It’s our first time ever hosting at Christmas so I decided I’d make a bit of an effort!!

I had just enough of my Forest Green Irish Linen to make us each a napkin…well each adult…and a mini one for B 🙊🥰…and sure why not put an initial on each! What else would I be doing at this time of year 😆

I also made a table cloth out of my Navy Irish Linen. I love this rich colour and it’s hiding a multitude of (toddler) sins underneath!!

A cotton/linen mix and I just LOVE these colours!!

Oh…and thank you to the LOTS of you who sent me the link for these dinosaur crackers. Maybe not for everyone but there will be one very happy boy to see these on the table on Christmas day!!

I read somewhere recently that the real meaning of Christmas was being lost by all the gimmick type things on offer (like dinosaurs 🙈) and I understand and respect why some people would think that. However for us Christmas is all about time. Spending time with each other, time with our family and friends and taking time away from the madness of work. And also time to make memories…and if those memories captured feature dinosaur crackers then I think that’s just bloody brilliant!! 😊

Happy December you lot!! 🎄

What are you hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year???

I’m very much hopeful for some lovely family time. Some very slow paced living for a few weeks and lots of time hopped up outdoors. This year has been the quickest one yet and it makes me think even more about what’s most important! And I’m hoping for contentment in the choices I’ve made for change next year!! I really feel so fortunate to not need or want anything hugely material. As long as our boy is happy then so am I 😊

I’m very lucky to have this gorgeous space and this beautiful Christmas tree…even if it was a painful experience putting it up with a 3 year old🥴🫠

And yes…that’s a necktie…🥰🥰🥰

A little appreciation post for the absolute best there is…

Their shops in first Hillsborough and then in Moira are just beautiful. An absolute must visit!!

Lucy is unstoppable and seems to have the best most driven vision, together with her sister Claire who has the most amazing eye and incredible merchandising skills they have curated a beautiful selection of artwork and craft and more from across the country and beyond!
Their Mum Carol is the customer service whizz who knows what you want and need before you do. She’s brilliant! And their Dad is a DIY expert who has fit out each shop and can turn his hand to anything.

I have stocked with them from the very beginning and they have been nothing but supportive, loyal and so incredibly kind.

I was thrilled to be asked by Lucy to make a range for their new pop up in Marlow, England, which is such a gorgeous setting with some amazing places to draw. We decided on the suspension bridge leading over to the church which I’m told is really iconic for those who live there!! I adored drawing this and changing the pattern to suit each cushion size, meaning every one is different.

Wishing Lucy and the team ALL the luck with the pop up, I can’t wait to hear how these designs are received in the gorgeous Marlow!!

A very happy (and a little bit knackered🙈😅) head!! 😊

A huge thank you for all of your support on my November drop. A few pieces sold out really quickly but still some gorgeous bits available!! (Including these BlockWork cushions..each one is a one off and I love them!!)

I have nearly all of your orders finished, the last of the cushions will be heading out next week. And then there’s just the matter of finishing up a few really gorgeous bespoke pieces 😳 (I’m feeling the pressure!!)

I’ve spent today making some lovely bits for a little 3 day pop up with from 8th - 10th of December. This is the only face to face selling I’ll doing this year. Very much looking forward to seeing lots of you!!

I’m so glad it’s the weekend! Wondering can we make it through this one without having to succumb to the Christmas tree…maybe next weekend?? The excitement is electric in our house…and I have to admit it is infectious. I just don’t want us (well just one of us😆) to peak too soon!!)🎄

Have a gorgeous one you lot!!
