I don’t think your wedding flowers should all match perfectly. There, I said it. 🌸🤌🥂🙌✨🍃

Elisha and Frankie’s flowers at Titanic Belfast are a lovely example of why I love working with a mix of soft shades, delicate textures and different flower shapes.

Pale pinks, peaches and ivory all working together, without everything looking like it came out of the same mould.

I love a beautiful all-white wedding too, but when you introduce subtle variations in colour and texture, you can create something that feels much more personal to you.

And this is exactly why I love having couples in my studio. You can see the flowers together, move things around and make decisions based on what you actually love — not just what looks good in a Pinterest picture.

Rebecca and Conor ✨🌸🥂💍

We loved making these for Rebecca & Connor.

They went for that really fresh, bright ivory look, so we kept all of the bouquets and buttonholes soft, clean and full of lovely detail.

I’m a big fan of an all-ivory wedding flower look when it’s done properly. It doesn’t need loads of colour to make an impact.

And the best bit with faux? Rebecca gets to keep her bouquet. No wilting, no throwing it out after the wedding — it can come home with her and stay part of the day for years to come. 🤍

I’ll let you in on something…

Sometimes I look at what I’m creating now and think, how has this become my actual job?! ✨🌸

I’ve been doing this for 19 years, and when I started Innocent Chaos I certainly didn’t have huge floral installations, beautiful venues and couples trusting me to bring their ideas to life on my radar.

What I love most now is taking all those ideas — whether it’s a Pinterest board with 147 screenshots or a very firm “I know what I don’t want” 😂 — and turning them into something that actually works for their wedding.

This shoot was created in July, and it’s a pretty good example of the kind of work I love doing.

A gorgeous autumn wedding at Montalto Estate 🍂

This one had all the cosy autumnal vibes — beautiful urn arrangements, seasonal flowers and a couple who really let the setting do some of the talking.

I loved how everything came together with the colours and textures of the season, without feeling too ‘autumn wedding’. Just natural, romantic and very Montalto.
