Theresa Cullen opened the Sewing Box in Smithfield in 1981. She quickly became a vital part of the market community and formed friendships with fellow traders and customers that endured for 45 years.
She was always ready for a cuppa tea and a chat, and sometimes the wee shop looked like a drop-in centre for friends and regulars!
The atmosphere in the shop was always fun and easy going, down to the beautiful personality of Theresa and the staff.
She took great pride in her work and was over the moon when Linda took up the reins and became a skillful seamstress in her own right.
She will be missed terribly, but her legacy is The Sewing Box, and it will continue.
