🪡 A little peek behind the scenes at Ready Kelly Sew! 🪑💙

Today in the workshop, it’s all about stripping, repairing, restoring and rebuilding. This chair has been taken right back to its bones, giving me the chance to check everything properly and make sure it’s strong, safe and ready for its next chapter.

There’s something so satisfying about taking something tired and worn and slowly bringing it back to life. ❤️

It might look like a messy job in these photos… but this is where the magic happens! ✨

One chair, lots of hard work, plenty of staples removed and a whole lot of love going into giving it a new lease of life. ♻️🪑

Two chairs. Two very different transformations. 🪑✨
These chairs arrived looking very different from how they left!
From stripping them back and working on the frames, to rebuilding, cutting, pattern matching and carefully putting everything back together — there’s a LOT that goes on behind the scenes of an upholstery project.
It’s always lovely seeing an old chair given a completely new lease of life rather than ending up unwanted or heading to landfill. ❤️

🌿 A little holiday thinking… and a BIG list! 🚌💭

I’m currently sitting on my big green double-decker bus, enjoying some much-needed holiday time… and apparently using it to do a LOT of thinking! 😂

I’ve been working on my “50 things to do before I’m 50” list — with the deadline being June 2027. 🎉

But I’ve had a bit of a rethink…

Some of the things on my original list are either a) rather expensive 💷 or b) possibly a little unrealistic to squeeze in before I hit 50! 🤣

So, rather than putting pressure on myself to complete a very ambitious list, I’ve decided I need to add MORE things so I have plenty of options to reach my 50!

And this is where you come in…
