Probably the most challenging bag I have made so far. The sling bag from Debbie Shore's Half Yard Sewing Club. Lots of pockets, zips and bias binding! I love the cat fabric from The Fabric Townhouse and I've used the popular bumbleberries blender fabric for the lining. Really pleased with it.

Well I'm just about there with outfit for my son's wedding. Dress and jacket finished (you'll need to wait until the big day to see it!!) Bag finished made with leftover fabric from the dress and jacket. Fascinator decorated. Huge thanks to Cynthia Easeman for making the hat base and to Cynthia and Tanya Elliott for helping and guiding me on my first venture into hat making.

First post in quite a while. My main project at the moment is my outfit for my son's wedding in April. I spent most of January making toiles and templates and changed my mind so many times about the design. Eventually I finally cut into the real fabric (from ) and this is my progress so far. I didn't want the lace to cover the whole dress so decided to leave the skirt in the plain satin. The sleeves are lace only and the bodice has a lace overlay using the scalloped edge at the bottom. I will also be making a jacket but more of that later.
