A moment for these beautiful wedding dresses.

When your best friend comes to you for wedding dress alterations, there is no other answer.

Alteration consultation -
The evening dress needed taking in at the back and up at the shoulders. Her nan’s dress was too big on the bust but slightly too tight at the waist. Then her daughter’s dresses just needed a little raise at the shoulder straps to stop them sliding and the bows secured.

These small adjustments make all the difference for the perfect fit.

Holiday mode was very much activated!

I have just got back from a much needed week away and I’d been looking forward to wearing this set since I made it.

When it comes to packing, I am very organised and love being able to take items that I have made away with me. Especially those that are comfortable and easy to throw on/off. I love how they can be worn as a pair and separates (I am all for mixing and matching).

This co-ord has been in the making for a while and waiting for its outing. I made the shirt a few years ago, then finally got around to making some matching shorts last year.

It is safe to say that I will be making more matching items with the left over fabric… watch this space!

In November I opened The Hunger Games on Stage.
Press night’s are always a chance to dress up, but this one felt special.

I altered a dress I already had, but added an extra bit of Capitol style for the occasion.

Last year two of my closest friends got married.

We all work in wardrobe, but planning a wedding AND altering your bridesmaid dresses is just too much.

That’s where I come in.. I had the pleasure of altering dresses for both weddings, thank you both for asking me to help with your special days.

This weather really is making me wish that I was back on my holiday! I took a few me made items with me earlier this year, which I LOVE doing. More holiday sewing is needed to get me through this UK weather I think.

Yesterday I said goodbye to this wonderful show, the place I have called home for the past 6 years.

I cannot wait to start my next show and begin my new chapter!

Theatre is my main job, but I will continue to make for myself outside of work and carry out alterations and repairs for others.

It has been a joy getting to run my small business along side my main job and I look forward to continuing this!

When you are feeling AMAZING in a new make.. 💖

Over the weekend I made myself this little summer co-ord. I have had this fabric for over 10 years but I never knew what to do with it, sometimes the inspiration comes at random and you have to run with it.

Now get me on holiday so I can show this gorgeous outfit off!

Summer is here and this is one of the easiest dresses I’ve made. Shirring is such a great way to add texture and movement to a garment. It is perfect for that upcoming holiday.
