International Jazz Day 2026

Hi all our lovely patrons,

Hope you are all enjoying the weather and the vinyl?
This Thursday 30th April is ‘International Jazz Day’, (and not a lot of people know that). We will be supporting the event and plying a lot of Kool Jazz on vinyl. So come on down and enjoy a free glass of wine and soak up the vibe. The ambassador for the whole world wide event is Herbie Hancock but our man in Birmingham who’s promoting the event is ‘Frenchie’, a Kool dude who’s been involved in music events around Brum for years, (a legend in his own lunchtime).

Frenchie is hosting an event in the Jewellery Quarter at a Thai restaurant from 4pm till late. He has a whole plethora of DJ’s playing Jazz music on vinyl throughout the evening, (I believe one of the DJ’s will be coming from as far away as Bloxwich).

So the restaurant is called ‘Samai Thai restaurant & cocktail bar’. It is located on Mary Ann Street B3 1RL. It’s free admission and we hope to see you there.

Love and music

Hi pop pickers, thank you for your support last Saturday for DSD (Diskery Store Day), we will also like to say an additional thank you to all our customers for their continued support and patronage. This Saturday 25th we are having a LBIS day (Live Band In Store Day) ‘The Three Imaginary Boys’ will be playing post/punk classics from 2PM onwards, (they played at the shop last crimbo and they was awesome). So please come in and enjoy a free beer or wine and check them out. They are very old and the home they live in only lets them out on special occasions, and playing at the Diskery is a very special occasion. See you Saturday
