Happy Friday! It’s been a busy one, and I’ve wanted to share this all week 😍

My return customer and her gorgeous little one had an amazing photo session with for Halloween wearing a bespoke romper, cuffs and lions mane bonnet that I made 🥰🦁🎃 I just can’t get over the cuteness! I’m so happy that they had such a lovely time. Thank you for allowing me to share these photos! 💕

It’s been a super busy half term for us, particularly myself working and trying to work out childcare so i could attend university too

It worked out in the end although I have an exam to complete online today in physics! So no rest for me, I will be revising all day 😂

We had a fun day yesterday though. It was Milo’s 7th birthday! He wanted to go to his favourite dessert cafe and we all demolished lots of waffles and ice cream 😋🧇🍦 he had a party last week at a local play centre, and he’s looking forward to some Halloween fun later so he’s been a very happy boy 🥳. A big thank you to everyone that sent cards and took the time to send him birthday wishes yesterday 🥰

I really appreciate your orders coming in this season, it’s been an odd time of balancing work and doing a degree, with my social media activity taking the hit so I have the time to manage it all. It has been busy but so far so good 🥰

I am of course taking orders now for Christmas so it’s important as always to PRE-order your items as they are all made to order. My queue is currently a week before making then shipping. This may change if it gets busy so don’t delay 🎄🚚 💌

One of my lovely customers returned for a bespoke order, requesting that I make a ram hat for them 🥰

Phew it’s been a bewildering couple of weeks. I think this has literally been my permanent expression the entire time 😂

I’ve had a really fun flurry of orders to work on the last few weeks which has been keeping me busy, but also having my children return to school (1 of each in 3 different schools now 😂) plus becoming a radiography student at university myself has swallowed up those extra hours in the day. Inevitably it has meant forfeiting my social media presence and marketing for a bit longer than before, since I do most of it all myself at the moment rather than pay to advertise. It’s quite time consuming!

Thankfully I’m into a bit of a routine, so it’s a bit easier to find a few minutes like this to give an update ☺️ I have been taking loads of pictures of my orders so I’ll ensure to share those in my next posts. Hopefully I’ll have a few new listings based on them too!

It’s of course my peak making season! So Halloween orders are rushing in and my queue as mentioned previously is “2 weeks before shipping”. It’s important to order now and allow for that delivery time so your costumes/accessories arrive on time. This has been a nice little win for my store recently ⭐️

My business is eligible for the star seller badge this month because of consistently exceeding the communication, shipping and 5 star review rating thresholds scoring 100% for all https://www.etsy.com/shop/babamoon

The new rating system has had its hiccups prior to launch and I think if it’s to stay, Etsy should work more on the criteria to avoid marking sellers down unfairly as it’s quite easy for it to go very wrong for smaller scale sellers than larger ones based on the ratios in each criteria, but it’s a great way to be recognised for the hard work sellers out into their businesses and their positive contribution to the website 🧡
