Adi Yogi, often referred to as the first yogi, is a foundational figure in the history of yogic science. According to ancient Indian tradition, he is said to have lived over 15,000 years ago in the Himalayan region. He is described as having attained a profound state of self-realization and remained in deep meditation for extended periods, entirely absorbed in his inner experience.

Over time, seven individuals approached him, seeking to learn from his state of mastery. After observing their dedication, he began to systematically transmit the knowledge of how human beings could elevate their consciousness. These seven students became known as the Saptarishis — the “seven sages” — and are considered the earliest carriers of yogic knowledge across different parts of the world.

Adi Yogi’s role in history is not tied to mythology or religious worship, but rather to his contribution as the originator of a comprehensive system of physical, mental, and energetic practices. His teachings laid the foundation for what would evolve into the diverse schools of yoga that exist today.

God in stone and glass

For centuries, ornate arches, radiant stained glass, hand-carved stone, and intricate iconography were designed for revelation.

In the Middle Ages, most people were illiterate. So churches became the “Bible in stone and glass.” Every saint carved in a niche, every scene painted in light, every vaulted ceiling reaching toward the heavens was meant to teach, inspire, and act as a reminder of the divine.

The complexity is intentional and meant to reflect the mystery and majesty of God — a sacred cosmos rendered in colour and stone.
