Had the absolute joy of making a kilt for J.P Floyd

He chose the lovely Highland Granite Mauve from Lochcarron of Scotland

I added a flash of purple in the fringe and chose the music lining as he is one amazing musician!

It was so good to meet you in person after seeing you perform with one of my favourite bands for years.

Thank you again for letting me be the one to make you this Kilt 💜

Something a little different today.

This is a wrap/stole I made for a customer to go with their wedding guest outfit.

It is made from medium weight Black Isle Tartan from Marton Mills Co Ltd and lined with a jacquard silk style fabric with a 2 tone paisley pattern.

This would make a fabulous Birthday or Christmas present or if you wanted to match your partners kilt/outfit.

Can be made from any tartan and lining combination.

This kilt is made from medium weight cloth from Lochcarron of Scotland so makes a lovely kilt for customers in warmer climates.

Had a fab visit a couple of weeks ago to Andrew Elliot with The Kiltmakery. Was very interesting to see how the tartan is made. One of the last mills to use the old style machines.

Cloth was a special weave from Lochcarron of Scotland

Photos from my first Kilt made for a customer. He chose MacLennan Ancient in full weight 16oz Heavyweight Jura Tartan from the amazing Marton Mills Co Ltd. The tartan was definitely an interesting one to pleat up but I had alot of fun and he was very happy with it.
