Founded 2010, we are a Manchester-based independent clothing label and retailer, whose ethos is to source and create clothing with an understated contemporary aesthetic, underpinned by impeccable craftsmanship. Iconic brands Mackintosh, Drake's, Sunspel, John Smedley, Mourne Textiles and Alfred Sargent sit alongside future classic brands such as Alice Made This, Smyth & Gibson and Cherchbi. Lissom

+ Muster’s own label products are authentically made in the finest and longest established mills, factories and workrooms around the British Isles and Europe. We are interested in modernist principles of design, whereby products are intended to be useful to the widest range of people and are timeless in their aesthetic and relevance. This is coupled with an uncompromising approach to materials and construction. In March 2016, we moved from our Manchester city centre shop to a 'by-appointment' space in the historic Ancoats district of the city. This enables us to offer our customers the luxuries of time and space and a level of informed service which we believe is rare in contemporary retail. It also enabled us to expand the range of made-to-order and bespoke products we are able to offer to our customers.

The End.

In the coming weeks, after eight years of retailing, Lissom + Muster in its current form will come to an end.

When I started the business, I hoped to sell skilfully made, authentic clothing and footwear, shining a light on the best of UK manufacturing. I wanted to sell it respectfully and knowledgably in welcoming surroundings. I'm very grateful to all of our customers and the colleagues who helped me to achieve my ambitions.

We are all familiar with the challenges faced by retailers and we must move with the times. Therefore it's now time to concentrate on other projects. We have some exciting collaborations and new developments coming up and I hope you will watch this space.

In the meantime, our remaining stock must go. We have our current collections on sale via the website and past samples and remnants of previous collections will be put on sale in the coming days. Please contact us via [email protected] if there are particular products from our past collections that you would like to acquire but cannot see online - we may well be able to help.
