Formed in 1974 The London Owls is an active supporters club for Wednesdayites living in London and the south east. The London Owls arrange travel to most games, home and away, outside the London area, as well as suggesting meeting places so that we can get together and have a drink before the game.

We are top of the league, say we are …

What a difference a year makes! Twelve months ago, us London Owls had just staged a protest demonstration outside the Thai embassy over the then owner Dejphon Chansiri. It wasn’t too long before Chansiri, under growing pressure from all corners of football, finally relinquished his ownership and we eventually ‘got our Wednesday back’. Now, under the new regime led by David Storch, we sit at the top of League One after four wins from our first five games and, while it’s still very early days, such a good start is a breath of fresh autumnal air for us long-suffering Wednesdayites!...

Owls chasing fourth league win

Wednesday will go top of League One, albeit possibly only temporarily, if we take three points from today’s lunchtime kick off at Peterborough. With three wins from four games so far it’s an encouraging start for us and we sit in second place while the unpredictable Posh are in 18th after one victory in their four outings. Wednesday will be without Louie Barry, our latest early season injury casualty, while defender Ricardo Santos faces a late test. The Owls will be backed by 4,000 fans and our London ‘HQ’ of Mabel’s Tavern will be showing the match live on Sky Sports.

Keillor-Dunn deal confirmed

Davis Keillor-Dunn has joined us on loan from Wrexham until January 2027 after the deal was finally agreed this evening. Keillor-Dunn, 28, rose to prominence in 2023 when he coined Mansfield from Burton Albion and hit 23 goals in the Stags promotion to League One. He then joined Barnsley before a move to Wrexham. Keillor-Dunn said of the move: “It's such a huge club with massive ambition and I'm just buzzing to be a part of it and try and get the club where it needs to be.”

Louie Barry looks to be ruled out for up to three months with an ankle ligament injury picked up at Wycombe on Tuesday evening. Barry had to be helped from the field after just 16 minutes, having scored our early equaliser minutes earlier. It’s a blow to Wednesday and the player, the 23-year-old having hit three goals in six games since joining us from Villa in the summer. Pedersen’s praise after Owls hit seven

Henrik Pedersen spoke of Wednesday’s “big hunger and top mentality” after his side’s seven-goal demolition of Bromley at Hillsborough yesterday. Only two late Bromley goals disappointed the Owls boss on a day when, despite the poor level of the opposition, we turned in an all-round high level and high tempo performance which the visitors could not cope with.
