I haven’t been out clubbing for years but last night my daughter made her debut as a DJ so I needed to dust off my disco shoes!!! I chose this double denim co-ord … pleated jeans with gold chain belt and a gold buttoned waistcoat…from with gold accessories. Emily and I did not collaborate on outfit choices, yet we both turned up in dark denim!

She knocked it out the park … great night!

This week’s colour focus, given that we are neck deep in the festive season, is METALLICS!

At this time of year it’s almost impossible not to indulge in our love of sparkles and shimmer!! When it comes to metallics, knowing which shades truly flatter your skin tone can make all the difference to the impact that your outfit has!
Metallics actually play an important role in our wardrobe all year round, not just during the party season. Thinking beyond sequinned clothing, metallics show up in all of the details like necklaces and earrings, belt buckles, handbag hardware, buttons and zips on jackets.

When these small details on an outfit are taken care of, and harmonise with your natural colouring, your style will look effortless, polished and elevated!!

Here is a quick guide to finding your right metallic hues:

If you have autumn colouring, your metallics are warm, earthy and rich, such as copper, antique golds and bronze

Winters have icy, deep and vivid metallics such as gunmetal, hematite and icy bright silver.

If you have Summer colouring your metallics are soft, delicate and light such as light silver, white gold and platinum.

Spring colouring means bright, warm and shiny gold metals such as bright yellow gold or a shiny copper shade.

There is a metallic for everyone – swipe to see examples for each season.

Tonight’s Christmas Party Look
I’m feeling fabulously festive this evening in my sparkly party outfit - and yes, you may recognise it… because it’s a rewear!
One of my biggest style beliefs is that when you have an outfit you love, you should re-wear it again! Great style means you definitely don’t need a new outfit every time you go out!! It’s about choosing pieces that make you feel amazing, fit well, suit your style, and bring you joy every time you wear them.
This outfit does exactly that for me. It shimmers, it sparkles, and I feel party-ready.
So here’s your reminder this Christmas (and all year too) –
• Re-wear pieces you love,
• Repeat outfits that make you feel confident and fabulous
• and let your confidence shine!
Let the festivities begin!

This week’s colour focus is BLUE!

There are many benefits to wearing blue – blue is a calming colour that is strongly associated with trust and stability. It’s a great colour to wear for strong communication and is also associated with peacefulness. A great colour to wear to feel more relaxed or reduce stress!

Here is a quick guide to finding your right blue:

💙 Spring girls need warm, bright, vibrant and fresh shades of blue such as aqua blue, periwinkle, cornflower blue.

💙 Summer girls your blues are soft, light, delicate and cool– imagine a little white mixed into them, sky blue, grey blue, soft navy blue.

💙 For our Autumn girls, look out for warm, muted, rich shades of blue with a yellow undertone – teals, peacock and kingfisher shades are best.

💙 Our Winter girls, are looking for striking deep jewel like blues such as royal blue, true blue, deep dark navy and Chinese blue.

Pantone have announced their Colour of the Year for 2026 and it’s a shade of white called Cloud Dancer! Pantone stated that the choice is intended to reflect a calming and simplified influence in a frenetic society - designed to soothe and inspire us to a new start.

When I first saw this choice, I must admit I was completely underwhelmed – initial reactions appear to be divided, with some feeling inspired, but others yearning for a more colourful hue.

However, on reflection I think this colour is soft, delicate, and elevated – a colour that can be worn alone as a luxurious tonal statement or as a backdrop to a whole host of colour choices. Off whites pair effortlessly with many other colours – elegant neutrals such as soft browns or greys, romantic pastels like pink and sage green, elegant classics like navy or black or bold brights like red, green or yellow.

Whit is set to be big for 2026 so make sure you pick a shade that brings out your best:
Autumns – pick oyster or beige whites
Winters – pick pure or grey whites
Springs – pick ivory or cream shades
Summer – pick pinky soft whites.

Pantone’s shade of Cloud Dancer is cleverly balanced between warm and cool, so should suit most skin tones!

For this week’s colour spotlight I’ve chosen to focus on PINK It’s a joyful, uplifting colour that is wonderfully versatile and works for both soft, subtle looks and striking, vibrant outfits. It also pairs beautifully with neutrals like grey, navy, taupe, chocolate brown and cream, as well as brighter accents such as red or green.

PINK symbolises compassion, warmth and confidence, and it’s often associated with femininity, love and positivity.

Here’s a guide to the sorts of pinks to look out for in your colour season:

🌷 Summer ladies – Your pinks are cool, soft and romantic. Think rose pink, mauve, blush, powder pink and soft raspberry.
🌸 Spring ladies – Your pinks will be warm, clear and bright. Think bright warm shades of coral and peachy pinks.
❄️ Winter ladies – Your pinks are deep, cool and bold. Fuchsia, hot pink, magenta and icy cool pinks will make you shine.
🍁 Autumn ladies – Your pinks are rich, warm and muted. Look for terracotta rose, dusty coral, and salmon pinks.

For this week’s colour spotlight I’ve chosen to focus on a handy neutral, BROWN! It’s a trending colour this season and it’s a great choice for building some deliciously rich tonal looks! It also pairs for striking combinations with so many different colours e.g. turquoise, pale blue, red, yellow, orange and pink.

BROWN as a colour is conservative and steady and is often associated with wisdom, practicality and reliability.

For our warmer seasonal palettes such as Autumn and Spring, there are an abundance of shades of brown that really bring out the golden undertones of your complexion, but don’t worry if your skin tone is cool, there are shades there for you too!

Heres’ a guide to the sorts of browns to look out for in your colour season:

If you are one of our gorgeous Spring ladies, your browns will be clear, warm shades such as camel, tan and beige.

Our Autumn ladies have lots of shades in rich, warm, deep tones such as chestnut, auburn, chocolate, caramel.

For our Winter ladies, your shades of brown are deep, cool and clear – deep dark, bitter chocolate is your shade.

Summer ladies your browns are cool, soft, and delicate such as taupe, mushroom and rose brown.

There is a shade of brown for everyone – swipe to see examples for each season.
