We had a fantastic couple of days at the Springfields Events Centre in Spalding at the weekend!

With it being our most local show it was great to see so many of our regular customers and meet new ones.

Two lovely classes this week!

Everyone doing something different certainly keeps me on my toes and my brain active, but I absolutely love the variety of projects I get to help people with!

Although not used in the UK (we had plain cotton or hessian sacks intended to be returned to the supplier) they were widely used to make dresses and quilts in the US.

Great marketing tool!!

During the depression, flour companies started making their sacks out of pretty material that ladies could make into dresses (or quilts) when the bag was empty. (1930s)

Super proud of Jennie, one of our class attendees who, after encouragement from friends and family, entered her quilt 'Woodland Starling' into the Bed Quilt category at Quilts UK!

It was even featured in one of Grosvenor Shows posts over the weekend.

Featuring Tilda Fabrics, the quilt is beautifully pieced and the quilting was done by Lincolnshire Cottage Quilting.

Absolutely very well done!! 👏

We're back from Malvern and putting the shop back together again - it takes a wee while to find everything!

Thank you to everyone who came to the show and everyone who came by our stand, and especially those who purchased from us. We had a good show and hope that all who came enjoyed it. We'll see you in the Autumn!
