The Yard Jacket is the outerwear piece inside the Roughcut Workwear Series — built around that classic workwear shape, but pushed through the Roughcut lens.

Slightly cropped, boxy, structured, easy to layer, and designed to feel like something you’d actually wear every day.

Lining, zip front, collar, cuffs, facings, useful pockets, and a proper workwear silhouette.
You can build it in canvas, duck, denim, waxed cotton, drill, hickory, or any structured workwear fabric.

Graded from Small to 3XL.

The Perfect CARPENTER Pattern 🛠️🤠

The Yard Carpenters are the everyday trouser inside the Roughcut Workwear Series — loose, structured, useful, and built around that classic carpenter trouser shape.

Front pockets, back pockets, carpenter pockets, tool-carrying details, fly construction, waistband, belt loops, and a fit that actually feels wearable.

Graded from 28” waist to 40” waist.
These sit differently to the Keystone Denims — the Keystones are a deeper modular denim system, while the Yard Carpenters are more of a daily workwear trouser: easier to throw on, easier to style, and more universal in the fit.

This apron is basically a wearable tool wall 🎨🪡

The Field Apron is built around actual use — chest pockets, large front pockets, side pockets, loops, buckle straps, hammer holder, rivets, topstitching and two size options.

It’s simple enough to be the entry point into the Workwear Series, but still teaches proper workwear construction through heavy fabric, straps, pockets, hardware and stress points.

You can also customise it with the Roughcut patch sheets, cut them out, stitch them on, and make the whole thing feel like a historical artefact - YES the patch sheets are coming back for this release

This is where I’d Start Sewing ✂️🛠️

It’s the entry point into the Roughcut Workwear Series — simple enough to be approachable, but still built around proper workwear construction.
Heavy fabric, large panels, straps, pockets, rivets, topstitching, tool storage, buckle straps, loops, side pockets and two size options.

It teaches the foundation before you move into trousers, jackets, dungarees and coveralls.

The Workwear Collection 🔨🧵

I don’t think I’ve ever put this much into a sewing pattern drop before.
Not just the patterns — everything around them.

The Biggest Pattern System I’ve ever Built ✂️🛠️

The Roughcut Workwear Series is made up of five patterns:

- Field Apron
- Yard Carpenters
- Yard Jacket
- Service Dungarees
- Service Coveralls

Each one stands alone, but together they build into a full workwear construction ladder — from apron to trousers, outerwear, dungarees, and finally coveralls. Every pattern includes hours of tutorials, fabric guidance, hardware resources, QR links, fabric width tables and support so you’re not just left alone with a PDF.

Sewing In Egypt 🇪🇬🖤

Tomorrow (Friday 24th) I am releasing a FULL Vlog/Doc style video of sewing a complete jacket from start to finish in the desert 🙏🏼🖤

Egypt was amazing, I’ve always been inspired by the history & culture. However, it was pure chaos from start to finish of this project. 😅

Tomorrow you’ll see the whole thing, I am incredibly proud of this project, finishing the jacket & am super excited for you to watch 🫡🖤

Sewing in The Desert 🇪🇬🪡

From Cairo to Dahab, this Friday I am going to take you on a journey through Egypt. An experience of sewing a full jacket from start to finish, with nothing but a sewing machine & minimal tools…

I ended up badly injuring myself during this process & there is so so much chaos in amongst the documentary!!! I really hope you enjoy 🫡🖤
