Flodden Commemorative Tartan

Today Im out of the workroom, following the Coldstreamers mounted Cavalcade through the fields of Berwickshire into Northumberland to pay homage to the events of the 9th September 1513 and the tumultuous Battle of Flodden.
Our daughter and her cousin are riding today.
Our family have long supported the Border Common Ridings which are so intrinsically linked with the historic and fateful Battle which had such far-reaching consequences for Scotland, with the loss of King James IV alongside the thousands slain that day.
