The Mountain Knitter began when the I was living in Switzerland.

Living in the Swiss Alps meant that I was surrounded by beautiful nature and it was through spending time outside in this nature that I would find a lot of my inspiration. The glacier in the picture was the view from my home and it inspired me every day. In July 2019 my family and I moved back to Wales. Luckily The Mountain Knitter's name still stands as we've relocated to the the mountains of the

Brecon Beacons. We move back with a slightly bigger family... our boy was born in April 2018! I hope you like wearing my creations as much I have enjoyed knitting them. I also hope they inspire you to embrace the weather and go outside to explore no matter what the weather is doing (although maybe on a hot and sunny day, leave the bobble hat at home!)

So pop some knitwear on your head, accessorise, go outdoors, embrace nature and have fun! ☺️

Now I’m going to start another hat stat.

This afternoon has been a mixture of knitting hats and reading stories with my daughter in the garden 🏔️🧶📚

Trying my hand at crocheting hats! I like the feeling of crocheting, love that there’s only one hook instead of 5 knitting needles, but overall I like how knitted hats look the best ☺️ 🏔️🧶

Ich versuche mich im Mützenhäkeln! Ich mag das Gefühl des Häkelns, ich mag es, dass man nur eine Häkelnadel statt 5 Stricknadeln hat, aber insgesamt mag ich es, wie gestrickte Mützen am besten aussehen ☺️ 🏔️🧶
