A few weeks ago I presented my latest research project at the CABS LTSE 2026 conference in Manchester. It was a great experience to present my latest pedagogical vision to the fellow attendees. I met some great people, and I’m really looking forward to working on implementing this more next semester, through our Fashion Marketing & Management redesign at 🩵

The one thing I love about this job is that every week is different. My teaching schedule might be the same, but everything in between is always changing. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make the Student experience as good as it can be. Loads of planning, in fact, I would say that I spend about 70% of my life planning for what comes next.

In the last couple of weeks I have been busy scheduling my second major event. Last year it was such a good night, so this year we decided to upscale making it bigger and better. Even more planning has gone into this and hopefully next week it’ll pay off. I’ll share some of those details once it’s all over.

Guest lecturing is always something that I enjoy doing because I get to share my passion with other people who may not be familiar with the fashion industry. Being able to talk about sustainability, Fashion, and just my love of clothing is always something of a highlight in this job.

As someone who has worked across multiple sectors of the industry understanding both design and product development and now marketing, I really do understand the importance of collaboration which is why I really value cross teaching across programmes as well as our relationships with brands who participate on our live briefs. This week our students met up with the first of three brands that our second years worked with last semester on their Fashion marketing and management projects. More posts to come but it was a wonderful session where some of the students were able to present their ideas to the brand who were extremely impressed with the level of research and work that had gone into their campaign proposal.

Some very proud moments these last few weeks and many more to come over the month of March!
