🌟♻️ Repurposing Magic: From Tree to Wreath ♻️🌟

This year, we had to say goodbye to our old Christmas tree. For the past three or four years, we’ve been improvising with an extra leg to keep it standing, but it was finally time for a replacement. Instead of letting the old tree head to landfill, I decided to breathe new life into it by turning it into a wreath!

As many of you know, I’ve always had a lifelong love for peacock, their feathers, their colours, their elegance. I can’t resist those rich, deep jewel tones that are just so opulent and magical. So naturally, my wreath had to have a peacock theme!

I even repurposed the peacock cake toppers from my wedding (how special is that?), alongside some star tree decorations, small baubles, and loose peacock feathers. With a beautiful decorative ribbon tying it all together.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the result! Not only is it gorgeous, but it’s a lovely way to upcycle and create something meaningful out of materials that might otherwise have been discarded.

Shutting out all else and hyper focusing on something creative can be so therapeutic. It serves as a ‘mini get-away’ for my overactive brain and is often what is needed to recharge my batteries 🪫

Repaired the outer fabric and replaced a perished lining on this cool mohair coat yesterday!

It now has a beautiful premium satin lining with inside pocket, ready to live another day and many more to follow!
