Is learning to sew something you quite fancy the idea of but don't know where to start? Or did you sew a long time ago but want a boost in confidence to get you started again? Our fab beginners sewing class is just the place for you!

Join us for a full day of getting your head around using a sewing machine. We take you totally back to basics with the task of threading up the machine, winding and loading a bobbin. Moving on to actually sewing on a bit of fabric to get used to the back tack reversing stitch, and how fast you can make the foot pedal go.

Have a bash at sewing a seam and a hem and then move on to making an envelope cushion cover to put your new skills into practice.

There will be the opportunity to make a start on a second project, with the choice of a tote bag, apron or drawstring bag.

And you don't even need to own your own sewing machine! Spare machines will be available on the day to use, so you can make sure you like it before you invest in your own machine.

This Sunday we are holding our monthly Sunday Sewcial at Broughton Village Hall. A lovely full day of uninterrupted sewing, and of course, cake! Its 10am til 4pm and £35.

Next week, our next term of our weekly Tuesday morning sewing class begins. Join us for 5 weeks of new sewing techniques and working on your own chosen sewing projects, with full tutor support. 10am til 12:30 at Grange Farm Hobbies Centre £83.

Fancy an uninterrupted day of sewing? No household chores, no distractions of things you think you maybe should be doing, only you, your sewing machine and a group of other people who just want to sew and not do the housework!

Join us for our next Sunday Sewcial on 19th April at Broughton Village Hall. The day is 10am til 4pm and costs £35.

Hot drinks and cake will be provided.

Whether you have a pile of unfinished garments that just need the last bit doing, or you have a new project that you want to be able to spread out with, our Sunday Sewcials are the perfect place to get on with your lovely textile projects.

I did it!!! Took the overlocker apart and put a new screw in where the foot lift one had vanished from and we are back in business! And now I know how to get inside my overlocker and make a simple repair. 💚💜
