‘Henosis’ Graduate Collection Lineup

This collection has been a love letter to both British and Dutch heritage. Through embarking on embracing a new culture I also reflect on my own, fusing a mix between the both.

Natural forms drive organic themes seen in the designs through observing the flow and movement seen in water, prevalent within both countries.

A contrast between traditional hand craftsmanship and contemporary technology aided techniques are seen throughout, such as hand stitched smocks mixed with silicone moulding.

Look 4 titled ‘Firth Dress’

Tulle mesh works in symbiosis with the design to highlight the body as a silhouette.

A 3D printed design in a recycled rubber textured material is appliquéd onto the mesh. The design takes inspiration from the separation seen in canal structures.

Sections of two toned cobalt blue organza are placed between the 3D design to act as flowing water through the canals, draping off the body.

Look 3 titled ‘Infinity Dress’

A blended tencel and lyocell smooth twill is digitalled placement printed onto with artwork inspired by movement and flow with a colours taken from deep blues of water and orange in contrast as to correlate with it being the national colour of the Netherlands.

The hem of the dress is upturned to feed back into the waist to signify an infinity in the design, with upper tendrils feeding back out of the waist and neck draped across the sleeves.

Look 2 titled ‘Affinity Gown’ is a midi length, fitted dress, featuring cut-out shoulders. A V-Neckline blends into machine embroidered panels that adorn the dress in a movement that flows down to the hem.

Raw edges embroidery finished into tassels that drape down the body between blue liquid silicone with a mirror finish, arranged to illustrate a directional flow around the body.

The base of the dress is compromised of a Tencel Peach Satin with the embroidery and lining in an ultra light weight tencel chiffon, both in Ivory.

Tulle mesh works in symbiosis with the design to highlight the body as a silhouette.

Blue liquid silicone with a mirror finish is arranged in a pattern to illustrate a directional flow around the body. Hand sewn raw edged smocks accompany the silicone in achieving this through contouring the body.
