💚 When you say green… what shade exactly?

In fashion, colour isn't just "green", "navy" or "pink". Every shade has its own unique Pantone reference to ensure consistency from sampling to production.

Did you know fashion uses two Pantone systems?
📖 TPG Pantones are printed on paper.
🧵 TCX Pantones are dyed on 100% cotton.

We select colours using TPG references, which factories then convert into TCX shades and create lab dips for approval. Because colours can appear slightly different on fabric than on paper, lab dips are essential for achieving the exact shade you're looking for.

Getting colour right is one of the most important parts of product development—and it's something we help our clients with every day.

At Fashion Threads🧵we can supply bespoke plain garments that allow you to test artwork, graphics, and branding without committing to our minimum order of 100 units per design.

You'll receive an ethically made garment that's tailored to your brand, with your own labels and trims, preferred fit, chosen fabric, and colour.

Once your garments are ready, you can have them printed or embroidered in the UK and test different designs before investing in larger production runs. This gives you valuable insight into which graphics and styles perform best with your customers.

It's a service we currently provide for a number of growing brands, helping them launch new ideas with less risk and greater flexibility.

We also offer pre-made plain garments if you need a quicker solution, although the fit and fabric specifications are already set.

Do you know there are different ways to label clothing sizes? 🤔

Most brands use either:
🧵Dual sizing – XS, S, M, L, XL
🧵Numerical sizing – 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 etc

But here's the thing...
It's your brand, so your sizing labels can be too.
You could use:

🧵A, B, C
🧵1, 2, 3
🧵Roman numerals
🧵Happy Small, Happy Medium, Happy Large
🧵 Or even create your own sizing names

Whatever you choose to call your sizes, the important part is ensuring the measurements behind them are consistent and graded correctly.
