🇯🇲Drag Race UK Season 7 Entrance Look for Tayris Mongardi 🇯🇲
Where do I start..... I HAVE A LOOK ON DRAG RACE!!
When Tayris asked me to make a look for her for Drag Race, I jumped at the chance to help out my friend. But when she said that she wanted me to make her ENTRANCE LOOK I was suddenly very nervous! She then sent the sketch through and I was so scared that I wouldn't be able to execute this in Tayris' vision and let her down. The entrance look is something that has to represent who that queen is to the world and what they are going to bring to the show. For Tayris it was important for her to show off her Jamaican herritage and that she is THE Powerhouse of Colour 🇯🇲
After tailoring the catsuit to fit her perfectly and once it was hugging her body right, Tayris walked into the room and I imagined how it would look as she walked into the workroom. I was in shock and awe that I had brought her vision to life and that this was going to be on DRAG RACE UK!
Then came the WEEKS of hand placing rhinestones onto the entire garment. This was a labour of love with multiple people helping out to stone this right up until the day she left for the race. (We suspect over 32,000 stones!).
I am so proud of this look and so proud of Tayris for making it onto the show. I cannot wait for the world to see the incredible talent that is
