Cloth Nappies & The 9-5 ⏳️
Something I haven't had to worry about until now
How can I find the time to keep on top of cloth, work 9-5, cook dinner and do the other regular chores 😱
A little bit of forward planning is involved like most things
We now have the advantage of an older baby that uses roughly 5 nappies a day. This means we do our main wash every 3 days
●What works for us:
The wash routine starts the night before with a short prewash in the evening, then in the morning the long 60° wash goes on and I go to work.
In the evenings either after dinner or while something cooks I hang it up 👌
●Don't fret about it sitting in the machine
●Loosing a rinse each evening, this is to save on energy and is one less thing to remember 😅
●Giving the night nappy a rinse in the sink or shower in the morning
●If there's some particularly ripe nappies then they'll go into the machine for a quick 30° before adding to the bucket for the main wash
I guess the point here is that it's possible. You just have to find what works and if you're too busy/tired then take a break, change your routine and come back to it later 💚
It'd be great to know how other families have made cloth work around other commitments, let us know below 🙌💚
