Happy Easter to you all my lovely little Easter Bunnies!
We are closed today in both locations so we can eat copious amounts of chocolate and spend time with our lovely friends and family…
As you might know I’ve had a rather rotten start to the year - however I’m very thankful that Sirene has had a cracking (unintentional Easter pun) season so far, one of our strongest ever and that’s been a brilliant distraction…
The Brighton shop is 24 later this month and we have had lovely long relationships with so many of you, seeing each other through many of life’s ups and downs and I couldn’t be more grateful that I’ve made so many friends - both with customers and of course our fabulous Sirene girls, Sirene feels more than a shop - it’s definitely a way of life!
Anyway, I’ll stop gushing, just wanted you all to know how much you’re appreciated.

Thank you so much to all of you who have sent me messages, virtual hugs, support and love following the recent passing of my lovely Mum, it’s meant so much.
It’s been rather a difficult couple of weeks but reading all your messages has really helped.
I’ve had one of my other greatest loves to help me through the darkness, that’s Sirene and my wonderful Sirene girls (and honorary girl Andy) and so have kept busy, with everything that the new season brings… my Mum absolutely adored Sirene and always took a great interest in what was happening, she loved being updated every night when we chatted…
The Brighton shop is 24 next month and Mum would be so happy that we are going from strength to strength… those years have seen many of you become great friends and I will be eternally grateful for the love you’ve all shown me.

In a previous post I had let you know I’d been away from the shop for a few weeks caring for my lovely Mum Jean after she had a fall…. My sister Alison and I were doing all we could to put everything in place so that she could continue to live at home (in the house we grew up in). She was still bright as a button and making a steady improvement. Sadly Mum took a turn for the worse and passed away unexpectedly a week ago. She died with my sister’s arms around her in the room where Alison was born - such a poetic example of the circle of life.
She was the best Mum - loving, kind, great fun, supportive and generous. She was very stylish and adored coming to the shop, often sitting and chatting happily to customers.
She will be greatly missed by many and I just hope that she might be reunited with my wonderful Dad whom she loved and missed so much.

I don’t really know where to start… I’ve been very neglectful of you all - it was a case of life getting in the way when you’ve made other plans…
Life was ticking along quite nicely, then my mum had a nasty fall so I’ve been otherwise engaged, doing my best Florence Nightingale (Nurse Ratched?!) impression.
I was in just about my last winter ‘26 buying showroom appointment when I heard my Mum had tripped, so at least I’d managed to finish my hunt for treasure and won’t have empty shops next season.
Mum is on the mend but it’s a slow road when you’ve lived the best part of a century… but I’m back in the room and promise to keep you more updated!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch we had an absolute deluge of the most beautiful stock - the fruits of my last buying season, one which was thankfully less eventful. We’ve got new brands that I know you’re going to love and lots of our established favourites too. It’s all just too fabulous darling!
I do hope you’re all fine and dandy, not missed me too much (what do you mean you didn’t even notice I’d gone?! ) and I look forward to seeing you on here a bit more often - I’ve got SO much to show you.

It’s all change - out with the old and in with the new!
No matter how many times we change the shops over to the new season it’s always a thrill… we have had a deluge of glorious new stock land this week and we’re updated with rails of the most fabulous things…
In these gloomy, rainy, grey days a bit of bright and cheerful colour is just what the doctor ordered, especially in our Aberdeen store where the city even made it onto the national news not having even glimpsed the sun for over 2 weeks…. I prescribe that all you gorgeous girls pop in and bask in the glow of our new spring season rails - your mood and vitamin D levels will be as high as a kite in no time, not to mention the huge boost to your style levels…

If you’re looking for a last minute bargain, we can help with that too… we have a couple of sale rails left with up to 70% off!!

Here’s a tiny bit of good news in this crazy old world - we’ve made further reductions in our winter wonderland sale!
There are some truly fabulous pieces left, things that you’ll treasure and wear for years to come - fantastic coats and cosy knitwear, divine dresses, terrific trousers, beautiful blouses… we’re stuffed with frivolous fripperies and the practical and sensible (but still gorgeous obvs) so we know you’ll find something and most of it is now half price!

We’re in the Christmas shopping home straight and hurtling towards the finish line… if you’re one of those organised people, sitting about admiring all the gifts you’ve bought, all beautifully wrapped under the tree and only have a few sprouts left to buy, I salute you.
If however you’re like me and work better under pressure (also known a procrastination and doing your homework on the school bus syndrome) then do not fear… we’ve got you covered if you still need a beautiful, thoughtful gift for yourself or someone else!
