Thank you so much to everyone to came to see me over the bank holiday weekend!🎯

This years Brighton Mod Weekender was my most successful so far and that’s all down to you guys💛

Despite the weather, loads of you still made it down and I’m very grateful to all who shopped with me or even just showed an interest in my work. It’s been a tough few months with one thing or another and this past weekend has helped make up for it and made me feel like my hard work is worth it🙏

Thanks so much to Rob NEW UNTOUCHABLES for putting on a great event as always and looking forward to next year already! And thank you to all the DJs for keeping me going with all the great music!

I’m going to take a bit of a break now, coz I’m running on empty🪫Once I’ve gathered myself, I’ll be restocking North Laine Bazaar and Snoopers Attic fulfilling orders and then I’ll be taking a week off to recharge🔋

My laser cutter is still out of action💔 So for the time being I’ve been making all sorts of other things which don’t involve laser cutting!

I’ll show you when they’re ready, but in the meantime here is a little video of Silver, my first born💛

If I’ve met you in person, at some point I’ve probably told you about my cats. And how they’re both blind. And people are always interested in how it all works. Long story short…
Silver was born with viruses which had infected her eyes. They were removed as they would never work and were causing her a lot of discomfort.
She still has eyelids as you can see here in the video, so she sort of looks like she has her eyes closed the whole time but there’s nothing in her eye socket.

Being blind doesn’t stop her doing anything other than being an outdoor cat. She runs around and climbs and chases her sister Minny. But in many ways it’s almost like she can see. She “looks” at you when you talk to her and can hear AND CATCH flies and moths so in her own way she can certainly see the world!

Anyway thought you might like to meet Silver! I’ll do a video of Minny next!☺️

And one last thing if you’re ever in the situation where you might adopt a blind cat, I say absolutely do it! Of course at first I was worried about giving her the care she may need and any additional support, but she’s literally just like any other cat!

I really wanted a lie in this morning after yesterday’s market, however I couldn’t help but think of the treasures I might find at the car boot😂

And happily it was worth setting my alarm instead of having a lazy morning. I found a little haul of goodies and this is probably my favourite!

At first I thought it was just a very nice lighter, but on closer inspection it turns out it’s in fact a perfume atomiser! Complete with original case and leaflet. Made by Consul in Western Germany. Possibly late 50s maybe early 60s, and it’s just a delightful little thing!

Imagine having this in your handbag on an evening out!

I’m now home and will be doing very little for the rest of the day😅

Anyone else been to the car boot this morning? Did you find any treasure??
