Had such a lovely group of students on Sunday.
Everyone chose to make scrunchies as their first make💃🏾. Perfect hair accessory.

Each student gets sent How-to Worksheets for all the seams they learn and also a video on how to thread 2 different styles of sewing machines. Including links to my favorite fabric shops and sewing patterns.

My next Introduction to Sewing workshop is Sunday 30th of June.

IMPORTANT UPDATE. (In case you missed it)

Hi all, just to let you know, I'll be pausing workshops for a while, got so much on at the moment I can't keep up. The shop, the classes, my label and family life 😅 need to try and do less for a little while, not sure how long but will see.

It's not totally over, I'll still be running FREE workshops at Easton community Centre and .spark.space
So do come for the mend and repair drop ins that they are currently advertising.

If I add any of my own workshops in the future they will be on Yuup or Class Bento, I'll mention it on here if anything changes.

For now, thank you to everyone who has come to my classes, its always good fun.

See you over where I'll be spending quite a lot of my time.

I'm excited to be hosting another FREE drop-in sewing session at the .spark.space on church road.

Mend and repair workshop with machines available. Bring in your items that need some simple alterations like shortening trousers or mending holes.

A perfect way to gain some knowledge on how to repair your clothes.

Small projects are available for those who want to learn to sew.

STUDIO SPACE
Really enjoying studio time at the moment, making things for has been really nice and maybe that's why I'm enjoying it so much, doing something for myself. Good vibes so far.

There were only two sockets before but more has just been added so I've moved the furniture around. Nice to be looking out the window while the weather is nice.

Look forward to seeing more of you in this new space.

RONNIE
I'm back in the studio this week and looking forward to it.

Can't wait to make more Ronnie shirts this month, thank you for your pre orders last month, feeling super proud and excited about sewing for my own label again. It's always a bit scary putting yourself out there, but a bit of self belief and a bit of do it anyway vibes goes a long way.

RONNIE shirt is now available for pre order again, I will take orders for 5 days and then order fabric and make.

NEW CHAPTER!! ✨✨✨
I'm opening a shop!! 🎉

This time I'm not doing it alone, so nice to have my friend Cat teaming up with me, she will be selling books, prints and more and I'll be spending all my time now making things for and stocking other small independent brands.

I seem to always be opening things when the country is in crisis 😅🤦🏾‍♀️ but there will never be a good time, just got to do it if the opportunity presents itself, also I'm lucky enough to have supportive family and friends to keep up moral 😅.

BEING EXTRA
Double jetts for my sewing machine covers, they have been on my to do list for over 6 months 😅. I don't remember the last time I did double jetts, maybe uni 10 years ago🤔, it works well for the opening of the sewing machine handle. Need to make some for my overlockers too, gets so dusty with all the fabric being cut all the time.

I'll probably be even extra and get them screen printed with my branding 🤔😅😜.

A quick make, now back to the real work.

JOIN THE STUDIO
Yes, come and join me, I would love to run a few more workshops, but as a one woman band with two kids and having my work day ending at 3:30pm most days it means that the studio is a bit underused, so I'm looking for creatives to join me and give the BS5 community some more of the amazing creativity it has.

I've already started the ball rolling with and who have workshops coming up this month.

What kind of workshops would you like to have at the studio?

Watercolour class? Still life classes, creative writing ? Possibilities are endless.

Bristol is full of creatives and I would love to get a little creative hub going on Church Road so LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN 😎

So after having a little trial workshop recently, Joe from has made a couple of changes to his workshop. It's now super beginner friendly and no machines involved, keeping things traditional with leather hand sewing techniques.
