NEW WORKSHOP ALERT 📣
We recently ran this workshop with our friends from Love Saves the Day and you absolutely loved it! So we thought we will bring it back ahead of festival season. Join us for an afternoon of epaulette making - these detachable shoulder pads can be added to any outfit that may not have a festival vibe yet. We will provide all materials as well as inspiration and show you how to put these together!

When? 20 Jun, 2.30–5PM

Part two of my recent jeans upcycling.

I've had these jeans for over 10 years and they needed a refit, so I added a oanel in the sides of 5 different fabircs with all different colours and textures

I also added little belt loops, one in each colour - inspired by .patch

Let me know in the comments if you thimk I should add back pockets and which fabrics I should use ✨️

Wanna know what's going on at the Slow Fashion Studio after hours?.. more sewing of course - we just can't get enough it seems 😄

Most recently I worked on this project to make my favourite jeans fit me again. These jeans were one of the last fast fashion items I purchased new over 10 years ago. They've had the zip replaced multiple times and the crotch mended and now they needed a refit.

Three years of Sparks! Three years of our alternative department store in the middle of Bristol’s busiest shopping quarter. Three years of Rethrindle delivering repairs and alterations, workshops and championing sustainable fashion - right across the street from one of the world’s biggest fast fashion producers in existence (you know which one we’re talking about 👀). So much has changed and we have grown from the sustainable fashion workshop to a social enterprise with so much more to offer, including our reclaim shop and workshop space now run by both Meret and Lisa.

has been instrumental in Rethrindle’s existence and development and we’re excited to continue our journey in Sparks with the Slow Fashion Studio
