A lovely little detail of the finishing on the Blank Canvas Shirt🤍
The shirt is designed to be added to, maybe you’ll draw with stitch and embroider or appliqué something unique onto the back or a sleeve or a pocket 🧵
But with details so nice, maybe its enough to leave it blank and allow the potential space to stay just that.

This is at least the 3rd incarnation for this hardy waterproof material. It’s sooo recyclable!
I don’t honestly know what it was before it made its way to - maybe the base of a bouncy castle?? 🤔
I was gifted their bike tote, designed to be worn across the body and lie flat while you’re cycling along and used it for years ❤️
Then I think my habits changed, I don’t race around from place to place on my bike any more - I’ve even learned to saunter...I know!! So when I was in the market for a nice tote, this seemed like a fitting transformation.
I’m in love with the orange strip 🚨

The Blank Canvas Shirt✨
I made this beauty from reclaimed french linen & h**p cloth this week.
The weight and drape of the cloth is so luxurious on the body, and has beautiful swing and movement, puts a bit more dance in my walk
It struck me as a great transition piece for this time of year to be layered with other gorgeous fabrics - i’ve been wearing it over a bamboo silk cami by .doe 🤍

Every single time.
Woke up to see images of refugee camps destroyed by fire (I’ve been avoiding the news this week so it was news to me) So so horrified, so furious that so many displaced people are still so vulnerable in the first place.
The next photos aren’t mine so i included the credit.
Help if you possibly can, donate to the emergency fund or maybe get yourself a cool t-shirt. Or if you can’t then a love meditation for those less fortunate might raise the collective consciousness-it might make you feel connected too.

Look at the finish!
Finishing things...there’s a slippery sucker. Making things for work, commissions, gifts...these things always get finished nicely, no problem. What is the deal with not finishing something to a high standard when its for yourself to wear?? The metaphor is real-see also, cooking healthier food when you have guests and buying art materials for your kids but not yourself. ❤️
Don’t get me wrong, the jacket is not perfect, its a first sample made out of waste fabric from the studio (and the collar is sewn on a bit wonky🙈) BUT crucially, it has the whole process complete from designing and drafting the pattern to quality control and pressing. Maybe an extra element of control in a pandemic goes a long way because that feels gooooood!

Posting for the first time in a while...🙂
We lost my Dad during lockdown and I didn’t know what to say for a minute.
It seems fitting to return with a post about friendship, I was really floored by the support from my close friends over the past few months, I (somehow) didn’t see that level of love coming, especially as my Dad had been so ill for so long-I naively thought I’d used up all my empathy tokens.
I was ever so wrong about that❤️
This t-shirt was a present from my gorgeous friend .bamf and it also represents ALL of the brilliant women I’m so lucky to have around me.

T-shirts have a special power, they hold your life moments in them so perfectly. I can’t wait till this one is so worn it goes baggy and maybe gets a couple of holes. When I’ll know I’ve been having enough fun🤘

For now its box fresh and bright white⬜️
