These crochet & knit lapghan blankets went out on the wards last month at our local hospital - bringing a little joy to patients there. Second from top a collaborative blanket made by our crochet club teens - we start beginners off with granny squares. So rewarding making blankets for good causes 😊

Bank hol slow craft project - listening to an 80s playlist trying weaving for first time, using a loom from my childhood and written instructions. Don't think I ever even set up the warp "stringing of loom from front to back", the most time consuming part of the weaving process. But I have an atrocious memory so maybe I was banging out placemats and the like.. !?

A crochet FO finished object 🩷🩷 Returned to wonderful community crafting hub Nest Creative Spaces CIC to share what I hooked with their vintage salmon mohair, bought on my last visit to Blairgowrie. And my mum & I also visited Adventure Into Books due to move to larger premises with a cafe from next week 📖 💥☕️💥

January crochet project 💥💥💥 upcycling my earliest crochet blanket, super size because I didn't understand gauge, into several small lapghans to donate. Step 1 - remove the border - straightforward. There will be steeking involved - cutting the crochet - eeekk.

The salmon vintage mohair is from Nest Creative Spaces CIC in Blairgowrie, Scotland where my parents live. Every time I visit I head there and also Adventure Into Books - craft & books my favourite things 💖💖
