It all came about at a football tournament in Skelmersdale…..
“We could do that” is what my husband said when he saw some T-Shirts with football slogans on, and so began a project at weekends, collecting printing equipment to make our footballing obsessed young lady some personalised football inspired clothing. Fast forward 2 years and after a long chat in a pub between two friends and their dogs
, who had no clue what to do after redundancy from our jobs we had been doing for 20 years, Marple and Matilda, a company designed to meet the demands of the dog loving public to share their love of their pooches with the world, was born. Its been a roller coaster for the last 12 months and a real learning curve in what we love to do, what we can do and how we can continue to grow and improve to bring our ideas to life in the real world. We are now going back to our Northern made roots and bringing together all our ideas under one roof and one brand, keeping our love for Football, Dogs and Creation of beautiful products together. Our ethos here at Northern Made is if we can think we will create it, no idea is impossible with some hard work and perseverance, and we want to keep bringing new ideas to the market. All our items are tested in our families (yes that does mean Marple and Matilda have a lot of fun!) before we confidently put them in our shop so you be assured we only stock quality items we would all want ourselves.
