And that’s a wrap.

I have had the most wonderful experience with Elves & the Shoemaker, met so many amazing people and made some friends (I hope) along the way.

Thank you to everyone who has been in, sorry if I didn’t get to chat too much, it’s been a bit crazy. We’ve sold everything from shoes to shop display items including rugs (I still think you’re mad, you know who you are 😂). I shut the door at 10pm on Sunday having moved the remaining furniture, exhausted and sad.

Thank you for all the gifts, cards and tears, it is truly humbling knowing how much people have cared about Elves & the Shoemaker.

I can’t miss saying a huge public thank you to my parents who have been invaluable, my mum for helping customers find what they wanted and my dad for all the furniture moving.

Thank you to everyone who has worked at Elves, Holly, Heidi, Evie, Aniya, Chloe E (who even popped in to say goodbye and ended up measuring and fitting one final time), Chloe P, Elise and Kate, for all the hard work and support.

Sorry this has sounded like an awards acceptance speech with all the thank you’s but it really is the complete opposite of an award 😢

It has been an absolute pleasure.

Well, that was a weekend to remember! It felt like complete chaos at certain points but I’m hoping everyone got some or all of what they wanted.

Well, that’s been a busy day! Thank you to everyone who came in.

Everything in the shop has to go including the furniture and display items so if you see anything you like, please do ask. I haven’t had time to put notices on everything.

CLOSING DOWN SALE 35% off everything

It is with great sadness that I am announcing this but the time has come. Elves & the Shoemaker is closing.

We’ve all seen lots of businesses closing for a while and sadly, we are now another casualty of the failing high street. The footfall into the shop has consistently reduced since Covid which has made having a good selection of stock difficult and keeping the shop open and paying for staff unsustainable.

I don’t know exactly when our last day will be but it will be within the next couple of weeks.

We will be open both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Cash payments preferred.

We may not be able to provide a fitting service at all times.

Please, please, please share so we can go out with a bang!

Well, that was our quietest ever Half Term week but thank you to everyone who did come in for a school shoe check and the wonderful first walkers. It’s always such a privilege to be a part of that milestone.

We will continue with our amended opening hours of 9.30 - 3pm (5pm Saturday) for the time being.

We will also be closed for the day on Monday 24th February.

It is really quiet here at the moment so this week we will be closing at 3pm everyday.
