On Day 5 of December, we have something very special to share with you... We are so grateful to South Wales Police for allowing us to stage a Prison Lock Up Charity Event in . We are looking for willing participants to get involved. You will be given the full experience from being arrested, locked up, offered prison food, allowed out for exercise and having your photograph and fingerprints taken (these won't be kept on file!).

We are asking each participant to start fundraising for us and to raise a minimum of £500 for the experience.

There will be some surprises on the night, and you will be allowed to invite someone to visit you and to help bail you out.

I am an autism parent and will forever love and be proud of my baby girl!

One day I will tell you a story that will explain so much but until then Take it from me, if you have never had the pleasure of spending time with a child or person with autism you will never truly understand the effortless magic that they bring to your life.

And that what days like today are about, promoting understanding and awareness of the unique and wonderful world of autism so that children and people can grow up and live and enjoy life without judgement or fear of being treated differently just because they aren’t following the status quo or being involved in what is labelled neurotypical.

Any autism parent will tell you that it at times can be extremely challenging and stressful for both them and their child/children but I know not one person would change their child/children for the world, but what we all wish we could do is change the world for our children to be accepted and not treated/spoken about unfairly or labelled naughty/disabled/weird!

Awareness is the state of knowing something…to know something you have to be willing to learn about it and understand it.

The “it” I refer to today is Autism!
