So excited to announce in time for that we are now listed on the UK Nappy Network!
This means we are an approved nappy library so you can hire from us with confidence.
It also means that we can receive more donations too which will help us provide nappies for more families.
At the moment their website is under construction but please do keep an eye on it and check it out when it goes live.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
It's a difficult time of year to stick to sustainable choices so do your best but most importantly enjoy the festivities. Each tiny action makes a difference so don't stress where you've dropped the ball.
This festive season we have used pouches, disposables and wrapping paper. It doesn't mean we give up, it doesn't mean we don't care. Perfection doesn't exist but memories exist forever 💖 make the moments and make them count.

We have been enjoying attending the Botcherby community centre once a month so much that we have decided to go bigger!
We are hosting our first toy swap, just in time for Christmas. Things are tight for everyone and if there is one thing we know for sure, it is surprising how quickly you gather too many toys for your little ones! So come declutter in time for Christmas and take something new to you. Whether you save it for Christmas is up to you.

We will also be hosting a parent support group. Free, open to everyone who cares for a child, especially those working who miss the social element of a baby group as they are all in work time. This is a trial but would love to continue this into the new year. Let us know your thoughts!

So, come along. Saturday 2nd December 10am till 1pm. Pack some clothes and toys you no longer need, bring anything that needs repairing and pop along to Botcherby community centre. Once here, grab yourself a brew, browse the various areas and then come meet other parents while your little ones play. Soft play also available but this is a £1.50 charge payable to the community centre.

The parent support group, all the swap shops, refreshments and the repair cafe are FREE. Donations are welcome to cover the hire of the community centre and allow future events to go ahead.
Chargeable extras include the soft play area and any refreshments bought from the community centre including coffee machine coffee.

Running a nappy library I get asked ALOT of questions about poo! Especially when it comes to cleaning.
Like any sane person, of course, I do not relish the idea of pre cleaning p**p nappies before they can go in the wash BUT I decided the environment trumped my dislike of this task.

I then found a hack! Turns out babies don't really 'need' a nappy. It's our modern lifestyles that dictate this practice. So, if you tap into this innate wish not to soil ourselves, it can make your life ALOT easier.

We are by no means perfect at this, the name for it now is Elimination communication. The idea that your baby will communicate in some way their elimination.
But we do manage to catch nearly every poo.
My baby is very content (for now!!) to sit on the potty, especially first thing in the morning. We play until they have a wee and a poo. It works 80% of the time!
Every catch is so satisfying because you know they haven't had to sit in it for a period of time.
Even if you use disposables, you can do this too. It is NOT training to use the potty simply giving the opportunity not to soil oneself.
If you want more information or help, please feel free to drop me a message!

We will be attending the each month alongside the clothes swap and we are super excited about it!
Come along to chat to us about all things sustainable parenting, fix any items that need it and get a chance to refresh your families wardrobe!
Simply bring any unwanted items you have including baby clothes and then swap for new to you items.

Super proud to be part of a building a more sustainable community, the more things we can stop going to landfill the healthier our planet will be. It's the small changes that, collectively, can make the difference! Plus it is easier on the bank balance!

First Saturday of every month
10am till 1pm

Looking forward to seeing you, get in touch if you have any questions

Reusable period pants are reducing the single use waste of a process that is not a choice. They should absolutely be tax free. Bringing making an eco choice financially viable for all.

The Government announced there will be no VAT on women's menstrual products from Jan 2021 but failed to acknowledge reusable period pants as menstrual products. This creates an unfair playing field for consumers who want to use sustainable period products We want the Government to remove 20% VAT.
