We have gone all festive. A little early I know but the AdventvCalander will be no good if I finish it on Christmas Eve. Also thought Ivwould try to make sets of the baubles so they don't look so lonely on the tree. Really enjoying my little festive play.

The tuition session at Honey Bees on 22nd Oct is half square triangles and quarter square. They are extremely easy to do once you know the clever techniques and can be combined with simple squares to create a huge variety of patterns and blocks. Material required for the session is 8 pieces of two different materials 3 and 7/8 inches square for the halt triangles. You will need similar squares 4 and 1/4 inch this time for the quarter triangles. See examples below. Hope to see you there. From 10 to 12 at Wigton Road Methodist Wigton Road Carlisle. £3 only per session; great parking!

Honey Bees is a new quliting group in Carlisle Cumbria. We meet bi monthly from 10 to 1 at Wigton Road Methodist Church Carlisle costing £3 per session.Tuition is provided for beginners or those who want to learn new skills. The programme of activities includes Block of the month (picked from the sample quilt shown), quilted bags, cushions and small gifts. This programme is open to change as we are an informal friendly group who welcome suggested activities from members. Although we have only been active for one month we have already introduced people to 'dissappearing nine patch' and those who attended on Thursday produced some absolutely beautiful Dresden plates. Please share my site with anyone you think may be interested or if you personally want to know more just ask. Thank you. Alison
