Good evening everyone... I'm alive!!

First of all, I can only apologise that it has been so long since any new content or activity has taken place for D//DOUBLE//O. It has been a hectic few months of trips, travelling and just life in general being lived.

But with taking a break, going out and seeing more of the world, brings new ideas, new stories to tell and most importantly for D//DOUBLE//O... new design opportunities!!

So, after months of silence...

Encapsulating what life has been all about these past couple of months for myself (adventure)... Designed in Cornwall, modelled in the Scottish Highlands... Please welcome the latest edition to the brand, our new Coast design!

Hey everyone, I think it's about time I properly introduce myself and explain where I've been! !!

You've all seen my face in the model shoots but for those of you that don't know me, hi, my name is Kieran, I'm 22 and I'm the one behind D//DOUBLE//O! 👋🏻

As well as running D//DOUBLE//O, I have my day job as a Civil Engineer which consists a lot of working with spreadsheets and data but I am also a director of a mental health community interest company called Mental Health Awareness Through Educational Speaking, or MATES for short! 💎

Recently, a lot of my time has been spent working on bits for MATES such as creating our brand new website, among other things, and also organisational work for our football team MATES FC , of which I am a player/manager/coach too! ⚽

Outside of the worky bits, I enjoy gaming, adventuring, music and doing basically anything that gets my creative juices flowing!

And to bring it all back to D//DOUBLE//O and our focus on sustainability, I've recently discovered a new found love for indoor plants... Now that I know how to keep them alive for longer than a week 🌱😅

So there's a little about me and who I am! Sorry I have been so quiet on socials for so long. New designs are on their way, just priorities have had to be elsewhere recently.

DID YOU KNOW?...

It takes on average around 2,700 liters of water to make just one cotton t-shirt! That's enough drinking water for one person for 900 days!💧

At D//DOUBLE//O, we are proud to use to run our store. With Teemill, all of our clothing is made from certified natural and organic cotton grown in the north of India, where monsoons fill reservoirs that supply all the water needed for growth, without the need for irrigation! 🌱

Putting that into numbers, it means we use almost 90% less water than conventional cotton!

Not only that, organic cotton is grown without the harmful chemicals that are in most pesticides and fertilisers, instead using natural fertilisers like cow dung 💩

Even better still, the cotton seeds that are separated from the usable part of the fibre are themselves used in the process to feed the cows, creating more natural fertiliser and further reducing waste (or creating it depending how you look at it 😉) ♻️

All of this not only has its amazing benefits for the planet, but it's also why our clothing is so incredibly soft too! ☁️

The amount of plastic in the ocean is expected to double in the next 15 years, and by 2050 there could be more plastic than fish in the sea (by weight).

At D//DOUBLE//O, we are proud to use to run our store and to help achieve our vision for sustainability in our brand 🌱

Instead of plastic packaging, we use a rip and splash-proof mailer bag made out of paper and for bigger orders, they come in cardboard boxes, with paper-based tape ♻️

With D//DOUBLE//O, you will never have the frustration of your order arriving in packaging with lots of wasted space - we ship the most with the least! 📦

And to add the cherry on top, all of our packaging has a cool, on topic design too!
