One of Chigborough Fisheries finest mirror carp caught by Alex over the weekend, weighing in at just over 22lb.

Heybridge Mere can prove to be difficult at the best of times but Alex managed persevere and landed this absolutely mint example of a mirror carp!

Lovely upper double common caught from the Res.

Keeping it simple with a standard hair rig and a little and often feeding approach by spreading boilies around an area, tight up to some over hanging trees had proven to be prolific, an overall haul of about 12 carp, 2 tench and a 2lb+ roach.

Well it's safe to say that fishing has unfortunately been on the back burner this year due to busy careers/ career changes and with the minimal times that we've managed to get out nothing has been recorded, it has been for pure peace and pleasure.

A time out has been needed to spend with family and the ones close to us but with autumn on the horizon it's almost time to get a little campaign on the go and hunt down some chunks.
