Beautiful Sue in the middle here asked me to create her Mother of the Groom dress, inspired by a bespoke design she’d come across while gathering ideas. We made a few adjustments to tailor it perfectly to her style and vision, and we were both absolutely delighted with the finished result.

There was even just enough fabric left to create a matching cravat and pocket square for her husband too - such a lovely finishing touch. And with a spare half hour at collection, I was also able to give the yellow dress a quick steam too. A real family affair! 🙂

Had the most glorious haircut yesterday - a version of a long s**g if you will - by the fabulous . It’s been over 6 years since I stepped foot in a hairdressing salon (I think my little scissors did ok to a point!) but I was getting out of my depth and knew I could only achieve the look I wanted with a professional taking over! I adore what Faith has done with my barnet, and I can’t wait to zhuzh it up with my diffuser when it’s not too hot to wear down again - safe to say today I am “banging” around with the length clipped up as my workroom is getting hotter by the second 🥵

One of my best girls turns 40 this weekend (🎉🥂🍾) and between work, fittings and the usual chaos of this season, I only got around to trying on the outfit I’d been curating in my head for weeks at gone 10pm last night… and it didn’t work. I also had to pack and be ready to leave straight after work today 🫠

Cue an emotional tantrum and a very restless night stressing over what on earth I was going to wear!

Then my mind wandered back to this dress I made a couple of years ago for a wedding - a dress I absolutely loved - but the length just wasn’t quite giving ✨party✨. So in between fittings today, I’ve chopped a good few inches off it and given it a whole new life as the perfect birthday party dress.

The life of a seamstress - especially this time of year - is unpredictable and a little chaotic, but one thing’s for sure…. there’s always a way around a wardrobe crisis!

✨ Wedding alterations update ✨
I’m now fully booked for wedding dress alterations up to November, with just a couple of spaces left from then on until the end of the year.
I do still have limited availability for Mother of the Bride/Groom and bridesmaid dresses in June, October, November and December.

Hello all!

Just a little update from me - I’m so sorry if I’ve been slower than usual in replying to messages lately. It’s been a super busy time (which I’m very grateful for!), and the signal in my workroom has been especially temperamental the past few days 😬 I’m working through all messages and will get back to everyone over the next couple of days.

Wedding season is in full swing, so I’m very busy with alterations at the moment. If you’re needing prom alterations, please do get booked in as soon as you can to avoid missing out!

Also, my Revived rail is filling up nicely! I’ve got lots of pieces that would be perfect for wedding guests, bridesmaids, and even a couple that could work for prom or wedding dresses. I’ll get some photos of the latest additions up as soon as I can so you can have a browse 👗✨💍🍾

A quick heads-up as well - I’ll be a little less available next week as I’ll be working at Storyhouse, so replies might take a bit longer than usual. I’m also going to be taking 10th, 11th & 12th April fully off for my *ahem* 40th birthday (!!) 🎉 I’ll be back to normal Monday 13th.

Prom might feel ages away… but alteration slots fill up fast!

If the outfit is already hanging in the wardrobe - or you know when it’s arriving - you can book prom alterations now to secure a slot.

Early bookings help avoid the last-minute rush and ensure everything is done calmly and properly for a perfect fit 👗

Please allow at least 4 weeks between the fitting and the prom date, as availability is limited closer to prom season. Shorter turnaround times may be possible if space allows, but a rush fee will apply.

Well, it’s been a really lovely few festive days, spending time with so many of our favourite people, with more still to see before the year is out.

I’ll be taking some time until 12th January to rest, reset, and prepare for a busy year ahead ✨
