Thinking back to this beautiful day in , in gorgeous Tuscany. In this picture, I am walking with my talented artist sister from www.thegillery.net, and in my pink shopping bag is some luscious artisan yarn from Sartoria Susy: a lovely pearl grey mix of wool and mohair with a smattering of sequins. Just having a little 'moment' thinking of my wonderful parents: Mum, who we lost in May and whose crafting hands taught her daughters and her beloved granddaughters so much; and Dad, who gave his daughters, granddaughters and sons-in-law this gift the night before he died in December with us all around him. A set of scissors from master metalsmiths that each of us will use for the rest of our lives, engraved with his love. Xx .queen
