Material Fabrics Material fabrics is about what I could produce for you and your family from fabric, felt and ribbon. Every item is original from coasters to quilts.

Living next door to my Nana ( who was a seamstress) as a small girl, I was always interested in all things to do with fabric. I'd sit for hours and watch her work and in time she taught me how to make simple little clothes for my dolls whilst she made me my latest summer dresses. Throughout my life I've sewn, I received a sewing machine for Christmas when I was 15 years old. Sometimes I've sewn ou

t of necessity, I hand stitched my son a suit for a wedding we were going to when he was a 1 year old as I couldn't afford to buy one. I simply cut up old clothes and made them into something new, he looked very smart on the day. I spent a few years running a fabric department in my local town and would sometimes sew made to measure curtains for customers who sourced their fabrics from our store. I sew now simply for the enjoyment, and of course to produce wonderful bespoke gifts for my family. Now I would like to share the skills I've developed over the years with you.
