West London-based designer, Alexia Parmigiani, has developed a stellar reputation for creating one-of-a-kind scarves, kaftans and tops – producing fabulous pieces that are a mélange of luxurious fabrics, inimitable prints, textures and trims. This talented 37-year-old designer established her eponymous label in 2005 after graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2002 with a degree in fashion and t

extiles. Today the Alexia business comprises a thriving transactional website - www.alexiafashion.co.uk that features a blog, graphics and artwork generated by the designer and provides a showcase for the current season collection. Alexia also has a robust wholesale business selling to many stores worldwide in a number of different countries including Italy, Belgium, Japan, The US and The UK. Leading stockists include Baycrews, Isetan and United Arrows in Japan and The Library in London. Each season Alexia creates eye-catching new prints that are either produced digitally or screen-printed. She also experiments with different techniques, from tie-dye designs to combining materials of different weights and textures in an unexpected way. Her pieces, which are produced in the UK and India, come in luxury fabrics including fine 100% cotton, silk georgette, silk chiffon, silk satin, modal or a lightweight cashmere mix. As well as specialising in sophisticated embellishment using beading or sequins, fringing has also become a powerful brand signature for Alexia. Top quality trims range from chunky Navajo-style suede to more delicate cotton, silk or acetato fine fringing.
